Just the opposite of the weathercasters in Seattle, I guess- they're always saying "Ohh, the weather is terrible! Horrible! Nastyfilthyyucky! All days of the week!" and people who grew up here are going, "Why is a newscaster from California here? What was he thinking to come here? The weather is /fine/ today."

We need more words for rain. There's drizzle, and downpour, and shower and stuff... maybe we do have enough, but I'm not sure which is exactly the one where that describes "the kind of weather where the sun is out, but the rain is falling lightly, and the clouds have this strange color to them, so you know there's going to be a rainbow on the opposite side of the sky from the sun." Shower, I suppose... :/

In Misourri, I also frequently get the newscasters informing us it's going to rain all week. Thing is, they're usually right. There's another band of storms set to dampen this place until Thursday.

Heyo.
Just being nosy and dropping a line. I was sitting bored at work, reading friendsoffriendsoffriendsof. . . 's journals, and came across your entry on the -lovely- storms we just had; So I'm just giving a shout out to another STL-area scaly, and such. :)
