Two days ago, after biking to a medical appointment, my foraging patterns took me to the local QFC to see what they had in the cheap-and-ready-to-eat category; I tried their $1.50 clone of a Chick-Fil-A sandwich, and quite liked it. The notable part here is that I decided not to remove the pickles; a dislike for pickles has been part of my culinary opinions for at least 18 years now, and, for no apparent reason, it changed. This is after several other tests in the past over whether or not I like pickles; I simply didn't, then, and I apparently did now.
The trick is, of course, overcoming the significant habits I have with regard to expectations about what food I will like and what I won't, to actually experiment with my own drifting preferences.
