Happy birthday

Anyway, some of you may be wondering where I've been over the weekend.
I went to Indiana for Christmas for that side of the family; LJ was down when I left, so I never got a chance to say "bye." Oops.
And double apologies to
The trip was mostly uneventful, except for the gift exchange and the return home.
Okay, I lied. The gift exchange wasn't really eventful either. This year it was sort of a "Secret Santa" thing.
Linda drew my name.
Hence I wasn't too surprised when the $25.00 gift turned out to be a $5.00 valueware CD from a company I explicitly said I didn't want software from because they suck. Go figure. At least Pat & Pam (the identical twins) chose to get me something anyway- a Rook deck! "Rook" is rather a Blackburn family tradition, and I'm glad to have a deck of my own for it.
On the trip back home, near Vandalia, my mother had to call 911 from my cell phone.
There was this HUGE fire in a junkyard by the highway, in the middle of an industrial park surrounded by tanks of who-knows-what. And nobody fighting it.
Apparently, we were first to report it.
That fire was hugely out of control. There is no way nobody else saw it. But nobody reported.
I guess everybody figured someone else would say something.
