Fiddler On The Roof, plus my doodle

I was going to do a long post describing everything that happened to me while working on Fiddler On The Roof, but I don't really feel like it. I'll just say that it was an interesting experience. I couldn't really afford the time it took, but I enjoyed it overall! I took a few pictures, and I think they say more than I really feel like saying at the moment.

Stained Glass Stained Glass

Theatre gels, the colored filters for stage lighting, come in 12-inch sheets. Most of our lights require 6.5-inch squares. A bit of subtraction will show that this is a very inconvenient size, and there's quite a bit of unusable gel left over. This window in a backstage stairwell has been decorated entirely with spare theatre gels.
Sunset Prayer Sunset Prayer

This is from one of the tech rehearsals of Fiddler On The Roof. The lighting has since been slightly altered, but I still think this is pretty.

Also from a Fiddler On The Roof tech rehearsal, this is Jesse hanging out, well, on the roof. He is, of course, our Fiddler. (He's an extremely skilled violinist; while we were setting up this light effect, when he wasn't just sitting down like this, he was playing the theme of "Legend of Zelda.") Note that when this photo was taken, Jesse had no safety line.
Really Really

Backstage, there's a stairwell that does an exceedingly good job of conducting sound. It has a door that tends to slam if it's not closed gently. It's labeled with a (generally ignored) sign asking people to do so- or, in this case, to really do so.
Bax? Bax?

This close-up of part of the gel-decorated window looks like someone really familiar.

This is an inaccurate and mediocre sketch of my Psychology classroom, done in ArtRage2. The fact that this is better than either of my teammates in Theatre Production is terrifying.

I know the chick who did the dragon. She's cool. I'm not sure if she'd be a senior this year or not. She might even be a junior. I think she's a senior, though.

Actually, I did a bit of that, too. In the middle window There's a little flying dragon over a sun and mountains that's mine, and I did the eye and the theatre masks. And I did some random geometric shapes... Yeah, but she rather blew us all away when she put up that dragon in the bottom window...

Even the tooth in leiderhosen was shown up. And I thought it was really cute. ^_^
