So I woke up at 7:00-ish, coughing violently; I haven't had an asthma attack that severe for years, and I really hadn't particularly missed it, to be honest. I absolutely could not catch my breath for a good twenty minutes. In the process, I felt myself half-choking.
I did manage to take my asthma medication (albuterol inhaler) at that point, and I then proceeded to cough a few more times and then finish choking myself and throw up. Fortunately, I'd figured out the turn things were taking by then and avoided having to clean my sheets or the carpet in favor of slight cleanup around the toilet bowl. It's safe to conclude that this was just from the asthma attack; if I was sick due to illness, I would have noticed signs of failing to digest my previous meal- whenever I'm actually throwing up for some gastrointestinal reason, that reason is still there. Not this time- pure stomach acid, as far as I could tell.
What, doesn't everybody analyze their puke while they're throwing up? It's not like I had anything else to do at the time except aim. Any experience is less unpleasant when ruthlessly analyzed.
Anyway, now to try to get some more rest before my alarm clock goes off at 11:30. I do think I'll be asking Dr. Wong for an extension- I'd completely forgotten about my OS Theory homework due next Thursday, making it two papers and a three-computer-program (toy programs, but still takes a lot of time) homework assignment due that day. Because of a combination of being sick and getting pounded on that day, I'll be appealing to both professors with assignments due then for extensions- I actually expect it more from Dr. Ratinoff. I still have to write up the other paper for Experimental Psych tomorrow.
And people wonder why they haven't been seeing much of me recently.
