So when I went to class this morning, the bird wasn't there. (The containers of water were, although at depleted levels; because the bird might have been sick, I threw them out.) There was no sign of a dead pigeon in the area, and there was a lot less granola than I left.

I can only hope the bird is okay...

Probably at least better. Scared birds don't eat or drink, so he likely didn't want to in your presence. If something'd gotten to it, there'd at least be feathers about.

I can't find an e-mail address to send this to, so I hope you don't mind this. Would you like to try the mutual friends deal once more? we did find each other pretty interesting for a while, after all, right? :)

Well... chances are that the bird is okay, and may (or may not) ever come back. If the bird didn't make it, at least other birds in the area are full for an hour or two.

And thus, is another example of why I don't doll out therapy.

However the bird is now, you did a good thing.

I'd guess it was probably stunned to begin with, having flown into something - the ruffled feathers show a bit of that. But it would recover after a while.

Aye, but sitting out in the cold, in a heavily-trafficed area, for over eight hours?
