Unfortunately, I Really Am That Nerdy

For comparison, for those of you out there who are male and shave facial hair, how far behind the curve am I with regard to testosterone? Today was the first time I've ever had to shave (yes, to those who know me offline, no more pseudomustache) because there simply wasn't enough to bother with before. I'm more than seven months past 18 years of age...

Well, for what it's worth, I dont think you are that much behind me. I think I got me a razor shortly before my 18th birthday. I still have really little facial hair. Well, I'm saving up to a beard, but it's going really slow.

How are you chest hair-wise? I've got exactly three strands. :)

Well, that's three more strands of chest hair than I've got...

That's surely later than the average. But it doesn't mean you are necessarily short of hormones because there are a number of other factors, including simple genetics, that enter the picture.

Men of Asian or Native American descent, even if only 1/4 or 1/8 blood, may have little or no facial hair, for instance.

The genes involved are complex, so varying degrees and distributions of hair are possible.

Well, I'm 1/32 Cherokee...

And all dragon? I won't rule out either as possibly contributing to the situation. ;) In any case, not to worry, it signifies nothing.

I am Asian. As such, I have a pseudomustache and need to shave roughly once every week (starting when I was about 16).

It actually kind of irritates me. I wish it would either not grow at all, or be able to grow into a beard of some sort. The wishy-washy in-between crap is annoying.

I'm half-Greek, so I've been shaving my sideburns since 13, and shaving full on since about 14 or 15. I currently have a full beard that I grew in about 2 weeks. I've also had chest hair for 5 years.

I'm not Greek. I shaved the 3 or 4 hairs that were really ugly on my top lip when I was in 9th grade. I remember, because (sigh) it was the day of the Long Island Science Congress.

I hate shaving. You all should feel lucky you don't have to all that often.

I started shaving occasionally just before my 15th birthday. I hate facial hair, though I maintain some occasionally. What I really hate is the mild-moderate chest hair I have. I would consider you lucky, actually!

This week, I should have some freetime. Let me know if you do (after ur exam on Monday that I wish you the best of luck on) want to get together at all. My new deck called "Tinkerless" (until I come up with a new name, which you can help with...) anxiously awaits you. The final restricted card count is up to 4, but that may go back down. I don't any of these restriced cards will irritate you or anyone as much as tinker did.
