I usually have trouble with math exams. I usually can't get the computation done right, with numbers dancing around randomly in my head.
Dr. Yohe cares that we understand the concepts of statistics. We have to know what the numbers mean, how to use them, and how to calculate them. He does not care whether or not we can do that calculation by hand when we have calculators. The upshot to this is that a TI-83+ or better is mandatory (the class page describes a lack of a calculator as "a catastrophic disadvantage"), and my Voyage 200 is permitted.
The upshot to this is that I completed a two-hour exam in slightly over half an hour and I will be honestly surprised if I get a score of less than 100%.
