Twitters of the day

  • 08:42 How awake I am in the morning one I actually wake up seems completely uncorrelated with how hard it was to wake up. #
  • 14:52 Reading the news- I remember 1993, and I remember being told that such a flood is a 1 in 500 years thing. 1993's records are breaking NOW... #
  • 18:06 It's kinda frustrating to be delayed when trying to leave work by my supervisor making suggestions I already implemented last week. #

Garkov

So for those who haven't seen it before, I highly recommend Garkov as a highly amusing example of Markov chains in action. Using the entire history of Garfield as an input, it is a system that uses Markov chains to generate Garfield strips. Some of them are even plausible. Many aren't, such as this one, and yet they retain an unspeakable Dadaist beauty.
