There's just something fun about completing a lab on the day it's assigned when it's expected that I'll take a week to complete it. Especially if I do it in-lab in under 45 minutes- and even more so if, when I ask a TA if my slight deviation from the program spec is OK, I'm informed I found and conquered a hidden obstacle (the Exceptions to the Math.pow method... it's a Java based class) that would not have been subtracted should I have missed it. And I did the Extra Credit challenges officially assigned. End result? A TA informing me that when they're really prepared to grade it in a week, when they'll have a rubrik, I'll be looking at a 105%. Not bad for my first lab.
