So I was walking back to my dorm from my Psychology class, and I was mostly back- just outside Wohl Center. And I hear this extremely strange bird call.

"TWeee TWEee TWeee TWee twoOOOP twooOP twoOOP TWEEE TWeee twop twop twop twop tweEEE tweEEE TWEee twip-twip-twip"

Looking for the source of this unusual call, as the long sequence began again, I spotted a mockingbird in the adjacent tree, which seemed to be the source of the sound.

So outside of Wohl center, there's a mockingbird that has learned how to imitate a damn car alarm.

Yup, they do that. Also cell phones. Here we don't usually see mockingbirds, but we get brown thrashers and an occasional catbird, both of which are in the same family and will also mimic cell phones, car alarms, and anything else they hear.

The thrashers can remember hundreds of sounds like that, and run for an hour, repeating each only twice. For some reason, they always double each one. A lot of the time, they sound like a video game, beeping and booping.
