The Revenge Of 3rd Grade Music Class

Third grade music class is like an earworm landmine. Some day, when you least expect it, one of the songs you last heard nine years ago will turn up in your head.

This has just happened to me. Perhaps writing out the lyrics (behind cut tags, for your sake) will help me purge my mind. And all of you can see what incredible moron-osity I was forced to sing back then- although being 8 at the time, I enjoyed it somehow.

Wadallee-etcha, wadallee-etcha
doodilie-doo, doodilie-doo;
Wadallee-etcha, wadallee-etcha,
doodilie-doo; doodilie-doo.
It's my favoritest thing
Nothing much to it
all you gotta do is doodilie-doo it
But the part I like best
Though I love the rest
goes
Doodile-doodillie-doo. Whoo!

...that only vaguely helped. At least it wasn't the Fast Food song stuck in my he-

oh, shit.

Pizza Hut
Pizza Hut
Kentucky Fried Chicken and a Pizza Hut
Pizza Hut
Pizza Hut
Kentucky Fried Chicken and a Pizza Hut
McDonald's
McDonald's
Kentucky Fried Chicken and a Pizza Hut
McDonald's
McDonald's
Kentucky Fried Chicken and a Pizza Hut

That song is actually vaguely funny. It was, of course, hysterical at the time; part of the humor was in the actions to go along with the lines. "Pizza Hut" induced one to place one's hands in a prayerlike position atop one's head, imitating the conical hat seen on Pizza Hut workers some time in the past; "McDonald's" involved tracing out an "M" in the air with one's fingers. "Kentucky Fried Chicken," however, involved placing one's hands on one's hips and flapping one's arms.

And you wonder why I was never the same after third grade.

I think I better wrap up this post, before I get another song stuck in my head, like-

AGGGH! NO!!! I THOUGHT ABOUT IT! DEAR GODS, GET THE MUSIC OUT OF MY HEAD!
