Nerd: n. One who invents and implements a Calculus card game in which players make expressions for their opponents to integrate or derive, with players being knocked out when they fail to correctly solve an integral.

I am such a nerd.

If someone specifies

f(x) = 1/x for x >= 0, otherwise f(x) = 0 ?

which isn't integrable, or the Weierstrass Function, which isn't differentiable, would they (who specified it) automatically be removed from the game (since there is no solution), or would the meta-solution "This isn't integrable/differentiable" work?

Though I suppose that's besides the point you tried to show in the entry.

First off, the cards don't support that sort of function, but the rules are fully ready for inintegrable functions. A player is eliminated if and only if xe couldn't get the answer and one (or more) of the other players in the challenge was able to. If it's impossible to integrate, then obviously nobody's going to get the right answer, so everybody stays. "Can't be integrated," while accurate, isn't an "eliminable" answer- if three people have bogus answers and one person is correct with "not integrable," everybody's still alive.
