A highly recommended way to spend ten minutes of your life: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0pAmVipomcA&NR=1

Also, in the category of "music", the group "Blackmore's Night" has gotten most of my eMusic downloads for the month. Highly recommended, especially the song "Storm".

Heeee, cool. Some of those use really neat mechanics - reminds me a lot of that car commercial that's a Rube Goldberg machine, or a half-hour video I saw a class of one constructed of things like tires and similar-scale. (That one often relied on moving liquids seeping gradually across things, and did include a number of cuts to shorten that - and, presumably, to allow them to set up one portion at a time and not need the space to have the entire sequence built at once.)

And "Ghost of a Rose" is the Blackmore's Night song that got me started on them. I haven't heard "Storm," but I'll see if I can coerce Pandora into playing it. ;)

In random news that makes me happy, I managed to get my hair in braided pigtails today - and in the process, reversed the braid on one in the middle, which actually looks pretty damn cool. I wanted the hair to pull back and away from my face, and while that was easy with the right one, the left is freaking hard because my right hand pulls harder, so it kept ending up curling forward... so I eventually pulled the braid behind my head to finish it, and twisted it in the process, somehow. I'm amused, at least! :D

It's times like this I ask myself: "what would Rube Goldberg do?"

Rock reinterpretation of traditional European rennaisance musical themes, rooted in modern lyrical structures.
